Da Nang and Hoi An. The best entries are in the middle.
The easiest part of Vietnam to trade from. Swim at sunrise with the locals, see the Golden Bridge before the crowds, then spend the afternoons in cafés that double as offices for the city's remote workers. Lantern town after London, the desk ready for New York.
DA NANG → BA NA → HOI AN

What does a day on this trip look like?
Guided sights in the morning, a long café afternoon among locals, then your desk for the sessions you trade. Vietnam is UTC+7, so the markets that matter open after lunch.
Swim with Da Nang
The beach is full at sunrise and empty at noon. Locals know why.
Out with your guide
Golden Bridge, Marble Mountains or a basket boat. Back by lunch.
Café hours
A roastery with fast Wi-Fi, a salt coffee, the Asian close on your phone.
London
At your desk, a few minutes from the sea.
New York
After a lantern-lit dinner in the old town.
Times move an hour earlier from late March, when London and New York change their clocks. Live converter in our forex hours in Vietnam guide.
Where do you go each day?
Each day has one guided plan, then free hours with a café we like and a look at how people here live and spend now. Green is your free time, gold is local life, purple is your desk.
Day1Land, then sunset on My Khe
Da Nang · overnight Da Nang
Private pickup at Da Nang airport, ten minutes to a beachfront hotel on My Khe. The rest of the day is yours.
A beachfront café on Vo Nguyen Giap, the road that runs along the sand. Coconut in hand, laptop optional.
From about 17:00 the beach fills again: families, football games, grandmothers wading in fully dressed. Da Nang swims early and late and hides from the midday sun.
New York from 20:30 if you want it.
Day2Pickleball at dawn, Marble Mountains, Son Tra
Da Nang · overnight Da Nang
Play pickleball with local players at 6:00 (or book an early tee time at one of the coast's golf courses), then the caves and pagodas of the Marble Mountains and the Lady Buddha on Son Tra peninsula. Back by lunch.
43 Factory Coffee Roaster, a big, bright roastery that Da Nang's remote workers use as an office. Real espresso, long tables, power at every seat.
Pickleball courts here are packed before work: office staff, students and retirees on the same court. It is the fastest-growing sport in the city and the easiest way to talk to locals.
London from 15:00, New York from 20:30 at a desk we have checked for fibre and backup. Skip either one; nothing else on the day depends on it.
Day3The Golden Bridge before the crowds
Da Nang → Ba Na Hills → Da Nang · overnight Da Nang
Car to Ba Na Hills for the first cable car up, so you walk the Golden Bridge while it is still quiet. Lunch in the French village at the top, back in Da Nang by about 14:00.
A café in the French village on the hilltop, 1,400 m up and noticeably cooler. Then a nap before the desk.
Most of the people around you at Ba Na are Vietnamese families on holiday, not foreigners. A good look at how fast domestic travel and the middle class have grown.
London from 15:00, New York from 20:30 at a desk we have checked for fibre and backup. Skip either one; nothing else on the day depends on it.
Day4Coconut boats, then into Hoi An
Da Nang → Hoi An · overnight Hoi An
Car down the coast (about 40 minutes) to Cam Thanh, where round basket boats spin through the water-coconut palms. Check in at Hoi An by lunch.
Hoi An Roastery in the old town, then a tailor: get measured today and collect on day 6.
The basket-boat rowers are rice farmers and fishermen who switched to tourism. Ask how a season on the boats compares with a season on the fields.
London from 15:00, New York from 20:30 at a desk we have checked for fibre and backup. Skip either one; nothing else on the day depends on it.
Day5Rice fields, a beach and a quiet tea house
Hoi An · overnight Hoi An
Bicycle through the rice fields to An Bang beach, or a market and cooking class with a local cook. Back by early afternoon.
Reaching Out Tea House, a silent tea house run by people with hearing and speech impairments. You order with a notepad. The calmest hour you will spend all week.
The riverside market runs from first light. Watch how prices for fish and greens are set by the first boats in, and how fast they move once the tourists arrive.
London from 15:00, New York from 20:30 at a desk we have checked for fibre and backup. Skip either one; nothing else on the day depends on it.
Day6Lantern night
Hoi An · overnight Hoi An
A slow morning, a final tailor fitting, and after London a walk into the old town once the lanterns are on. Float a candle on the Thu Bon from a small boat.
A rooftop café over the yellow walls of the old town, with a cà phê muối (salt coffee).
Old town families still live behind their shops. Peek past the shop counter and you will often see a family altar, a TV and someone cooking lunch.
London from 15:00, lanterns from 18:00, then New York at 20:30 or a screens-off last night.
Day7Fly home
Hoi An → Da Nang airport
Breakfast, then a private car to Da Nang airport (about 45 minutes).
One last bánh mì: Hoi An's are famous for a reason, and the queue at the good stalls is mostly locals on their way to work.
Which hotels do you stay in?
4★ hotels and resorts as standard, 5★ resorts if you choose them. Every room is checked for a desk, fibre and a backup connection before you arrive, and you see the named hotels before you pay.

Beachfront hotel on My Khe
Sea view, a desk by the window, fibre and backup. The beach is across the road.

Hotel or pool villa near the old town
Quiet rooms among the rice fields or by the river, ten minutes by bike from the lanterns.

Questions before you book.
Can I trade every day on this trip?
Yes. Every evening has a desk for London from 15:00 and New York from 20:30 (Vietnam winter time), and all guided activities finish by early afternoon.
When is the best time to go?
February to August is dry and sunny. October to December brings heavy rain and sometimes floods in Hoi An; the trip still runs, with more café hours and fewer beach mornings.
Do I need to play pickleball?
No. It is offered because it is the easiest way to meet locals in Da Nang. Swap it for golf, a surf lesson or a lie-in.
Will I travel with strangers?
No. Every Signature Journey is private, from one traveller, on the dates you choose. It is you, the people you bring, your guide and your driver.
I want a real holiday with no trading. Does this still work?
Yes. Tell us and we drop the desk nights and fill the afternoons instead. You still sleep in rooms with fast, reliable internet for the moment you want to check something.
How do I book, and what if I need to cancel?
Send a brief and you get a written day-by-day plan with named hotels and a price per person within 48 hours. Once you approve it, a 30% deposit holds your dates and the rest is paid when you arrive. Cancellation is free up to 45 days before you travel.
