What does the forex session clock show?
The four main forex sessions (Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York) converted into the time zone you choose, which ones are open now, a countdown to the next open or close, and the London–New York overlap, the busiest hours of the day.
Each bar is a 24-hour day in your time zone. The coloured part is the session and the white line is now. The clock refreshes itself, so you can leave it open on a second screen.
What hours does it use for each session?
Common conventions in each city's local time: 08:00–17:00 for London and New York, 09:00–18:00 for Tokyo and 07:00–16:00 for Sydney. Brokers label sessions slightly differently, so check your platform's server time too.

What hours does the forex session clock use?
London, New York and Tokyo are shown as 08:00 to 17:00 or 09:00 to 18:00 local time, and Sydney as 07:00 to 16:00 local time. These are common conventions; your broker's server time may label sessions slightly differently.
Does the clock adjust for daylight saving time?
Yes. It uses your browser's time zone database, so the US, UK and Australian clock changes move the sessions automatically on the right dates.
Is the session clock free to embed?

When is the forex market closed?
Forex trades 24 hours from Monday to Friday. It closes at 17:00 New York time on Friday and reopens with the Sydney session on Monday morning, which is Sunday evening in New York.
